How does shipping to Canada work?
Maya Bath offers free shipping to Canada, and the buyer is responsible for all duty and border fees.
How can I track my order?
After your product ships, Maya Bath will send an email with a tracking number and instructions.
How long will my order take to arrive?
If the item is in stock, your order leaves the warehouse within 1–2 business days. You’ll receive a tracking number when it ships. The trucking carrier will call to schedule a delivery appointment. Provide a valid and/or alternate phone number to avoid delays.

When my order is delivered, will it be brought inside my home?
Oversized shipments usually deliver curbside only (on a pallet). If you need special delivery, call 800-518-5242 to review options. Additional charges may apply for special requests and are limited to the delivery company’s services.
Receiving and inspecting a large item by truck (steam showers, bathtubs, vanities, etc.)
Inspect the crates immediately. If there’s damage, note all damage on the delivery receipt before signing, take photos, and contact customer service at support@mayabath.com or 800-518-5242 as soon as possible.

How will the steam shower arrive? Does the unit come pre-assembled?
Steam showers arrive in 1–3 wooden crates, and the crates fit through any doorway 28" wide or wider. Units come largely pre-assembled (massage jets, electrical wiring, and water pipes already connected) and are flat-packed as panels for easier maneuvering. Panels are bolted together and sealed with silicone. Connect the plumbing/electrics between adjacent panels, hook up hot/cold water feeds, electrical supply, and waste drainage, and it’s ready to go.
What is your shipping policy?
- Shipping: Orders ship via trucking carriers. Free shipping on all orders. Freight delivery typically takes 2–7 business days (Monday–Friday). Remote addresses may take longer.
- Order tracking: Tracking instructions are sent automatically once the order leaves the warehouse. Tracking codes take one business day to activate.
- Damaged packages: Inspect crates upon delivery if you see visible damage. Note all damage on the delivery receipt and email support@mayabath.com within 5 days.
- International shipping: Email support@mayabath.com or call 800-518-5242 for questions on international orders and shipping.
Changes, Returns, and Refunds
Order cancellation.
Stocked-item orders can be canceled up to 48 hours after purchase, as long as the item has not been crated and/or shipped.
What is your return policy?
Items may be returned for a refund or replacement within 30 days of shipment, as long as they’re in a condition qualified for resale. Items can’t be returned if they’ve been altered/mishandled, installed, or show signs of installation.
How do I initiate a return?
Email support@mayabath.com or call (800) 518-5242 and specify whether you want a credit or a refund to the original payment method. Maya Bath will email you a Return Authorization Number.
Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility; shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable. A 15% restocking fee applies.
How to return small packages?
Pack the item in its original box (or a sturdy plain cardboard box). Print the Return Number and return label from the email and attach them to the box. Ship it back via your local FedEx or UPS store.
How to return large packages?
Large items (steam showers, tubs, vanities, etc.) must be returned by truck. Email support@mayabath.com or call (800) 518-5242 to initiate the return.
When do I receive my refund?
After the return arrives at the fulfillment center, allow 3–5 business days for processing back into inventory.
Warranty
What is your warranty policy?
All items are covered for 10 years from the date of purchase for manufacturing and mechanical defects. The warranty covers replacement of defective parts only, not the complete product, unless a customer service representative deems it necessary.
The warranty does not cover damage from installation, replacement, or repair; improper cleaning; misuse or neglect; or “living finishes.” Contact support@mayabath.com with questions.
Steam Showers
Can this unit be used as a normal shower?
Yes. You can use shower-only, steam-only, or steam-and-shower functions.
Do I install the shower before the drywall or after?
Finish the wall and complete the floor before installing the steam shower. Do not tile around it. If you tile around it, you won’t be able to slide the unit out for access. You’ll need an access panel in the back for servicing; without one, the unit must be slid out.
What water pressure is required to run the unit correctly?
Standard household water pressure of 40–60 psi is recommended for all functions to work properly.
Where is the steam generator located?
It’s built into the back of the unit toward the bottom.
I would like to place the steam shower on the second floor. Will there be a weight problem?
The unit is about 700 lbs, plus water and your body weight. This is case-by-case so please consult your contractor using those weights.
What are the general care needs for the steam showers?
Steam showers are easy to maintain if you follow these cleaning guidelines:
- Acrylic: Rinse after each use to prevent soap/product buildup. Clean with a mild cleaner and a soft sponge/brush. Avoid harsh chemicals; rinse immediately if exposed. Wax/polish with car wax to maintain shine (do not wax areas you walk/stand on). Maya Bath
- Glass: Wipe dry after each use (a squeegee is recommended). For weekly cleaning, use a daily shower cleaner (example given: Tilex Daily Shower Cleaner) or another non-damaging daily/natural cleaner. Clean the outside glass too (example given: Windex). For buildup, try equal parts Dawn dish soap and vinegar, let sit 5–10 minutes, scrub, and rinse with cool water. If needed, use a calcium/lime remover per label directions. - Metal: Wipe tracks after each use to reduce buildup and mold. You can soak the bottom track with vinegar overnight (plug holes carefully), then rinse and wipe clean. Use a metal-safe shower cleaner and a toothbrush/soft bristle brush for hard-to-reach areas; rinse and dry after.
Does the steam shower come with everything I need?
Yes, it comes with everything required for successful assembly.
Can I use aromatherapy with these steam showers?
Yes, aromatherapy can be used inside the steam-emitting cup.
What does the inline heat pump do?
The inline heat pump is attached to the water pump and helps maintain the water temperature in the tub portion of the unit.
Whirlpool Bathtubs
Do I need to use the flex hose drain assembly that is provided, or can I hard-pipe the drain?
You don’t have to use the flex drain assembly. You can hard-pipe if you prefer, but you’ll need an access panel in the back for access.
How do you access the plumbing and whirlpool motor for maintenance?
You’ll need an access panel in the back. If you can’t add one, you’ll need to slide the unit out. You don’t have to uninstall the tub since it includes a flexible drain line. The tub rests on 4 adjustable feet, making it easier to move off the wall for access.
Only stainless steel fixtures are available. If you swap fixtures, make sure the hole pattern matches.

What is the material of the tub?
Ultra-smooth acrylic construction for durability and strength, with reinforced fiberglass.
What rough-in valve do I need for installation of this tub?
You’ll need about 12" of clearance.

Is the overflow hooked up directly to the drain in the tub?
Yes, the overflow is hooked directly to the drain.
Installation & Ventilation (All Units)
How difficult are the units to assemble and install?
They’re relatively straightforward and are compared to installing a washing machine. A plumber should run hot/cold feeds to the rear with connections for the standard braided hoses, and should flush the new pipes into a bucket before connecting. Steam showers include a pre-connected flexible drain hose that must be installed into your home’s drain. Units come flat-packed; panels/columns/glass are assembled using provided screws/bolts. Seal carefully with standard bathroom silicone to prevent leaks.
Do the products come with installation instructions and a user guide?
Yes, each steam shower includes installation instructions and a user guide, and customer service can help with additional questions.
What plumbing connections do I need?
The unit includes the internal piping for jets/shower functions, plus two flexible hoses for your home’s hot/cold supplies. The shower drain connects to a 4-foot flexible hose.
Do you offer any installation?
Maya Bath does not offer installation, but any licensed plumber or contractor can install the unit. Phone technical support is available upon request, and professional installation is recommended.
Your units come with a ventilation fan. Do I need an extractor fan in my bathroom?
Steam is mostly contained in the unit, but once the door opens, steam will enter the room. Good ventilation is important so steam can escape; otherwise it may condense and lead to mold or related problems. If the bathroom has a window, opening it can help vent the steam. An extractor fan isn’t essential, but good ventilation is strongly recommended.
